It is surprising how traditional brokerage firms and money managers have criticized Robinhood of gamifying investing, only to find themselves cloning the new kid on the block.
This epitomizes Robinhood‘s success in attracting younger audience to investing that was neglected for years by the incumbents. Product market fit was the key to success here.
Of course, it is a matter of choice whether one decides to gamble their savings buying options or choose to invest in low cost index funds for the long term.
I’m hopeful the later half will come out stronger and Robinhood will be around to serve them.
