KPIs? Sure. Wait … but what about KFIs??
Often Product Managers are asked what KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) are they using to measure the success of your product? I wonder why very few people talk about KFIs (Key Failure Indicators)?
I believe every product team should be transparent and open to talk about failures and measure them. Why?
Because failures are what create success.
Failure indicators are critical to assess product-market fit and decide when to pivot, and more importantly what to change in next iteration.
If you fail enough times, there is a very high chance you run out of unluck and stumble upon success.
