Yes, you read it right.

A cool water cooler!

A lesser-known Boston-based water dispenser company has truly impressed me, and I couldn’t resist sharing why Bevi has become my go-to choice for office beverages!

Why I’m obsessed?

  1. Sleek Hardware & Fluid Software Interface – the design is modern and user-friendly, making it a joy to use. It looks great in any kitchen, unlike those bulky, outdated water dispensers.

  2. Endless Options: Think of any water combo you could possibly crave – vitamin boost, a little caffeine kick, electrolytes for that workout recovery? Bevi’s got it all, with over a dozen natural flavors to choose from. Want it chilled, sparkling, hot, sweetened, or unsweetened? No problem! You can even mix and match up to 5 flavors with different intensity levels.

  3. Sizing: Comes in counter-top and full size options. Counter top option is perfect for smaller kitchens albeit with a few less options.

  4. Environment-Friendly: Bevi isn’t just about convenience and deliciousness (though it definitely nails both). It’s also eco-friendly. The machine tracks how many plastic bottles you’ve saved from ending up in landfills, which is a pretty cool motivator to keep reaching for that Bevi water. And when you’re not using it, it automatically goes into energy-saving mode, because who doesn’t love a gadget that looks out for the environment (and your wallet)? Finally, a Smart Water Cooler.

Competitors:

Sure, there are other water dispensers out there (looking at you, Quench Canada and Brio). But none of them come close to the sheer variety and functionality Bevi offers.

Aquablu – a 20 people startup based in Netherlands – is the only one closing the gap on features but is much smaller than Bevi.

Pricing: It costs $250-$400 per month for unlimited use. Each drink costs 20 cents or less. Compare that to La Croix, which is about $1.3 per 12 Oz (350 ml) can. The cost savings are substantial!

What would I improve?

  1. Expand into the Consumer Market: Attractive pricing for counter top option could drive growth beyond the office market.
  2. License Technology: Partner with refrigerator companies to integrate Bevi’s technology to in-door water dispensers.
  3. Customization Options: Currently, only available in Black and White colors. Offering more color choices to match office aesthetics could be an easy win.
  4. Easy Refilling: Simplify the flavor refilling process and provide timely notifications to avoid running out.
  5. Just throwing it out there, a green tea option would be fantastic!

I’ve already seen Bevi popping up in all the trendy tech companies around the San Francisco Bay Area, including Google.

Have you seen Bevi in a nearby office?
